USC Lacrosse Announces 2024 Schedule, Set for Two Separate Home Venues
January 22, 2024 | Women's Lacrosse
The Women of Troy’s newest campaign will feature seven-home games (five at Health Dignity Sports Park, two at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum) and nine road matchups
LOS ANGELES — USC lacrosse revealed its 2024 regular season schedule; head coach Lindsey Munday announced Monday, Jan. 22. The Women of Troy embark on a 16-game stretch that will include seven home games in two different locations and nine road tests. USC will host homesite games at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif., and the L.A. Memorial Coliseum as USC athletics builds the brand-new Rawlinson Stadium.
The Women of Troy will host their first five games at Dignity Health, followed by the final two being at the home of USC football, the Coliseum. Four of the first five will be non-conference matchups as USC welcomes Hofstra (Feb. 17), Michigan (Feb. 24), Temple (Mar. 8), and Dartmouth (Mar. 18). The first and only Pac-12 matchup in Carson is against Pac-12 newcomer UC Davis (Mar. 16). The Coliseum will see the more traditional Pac-12 powerhouses, as the Trojans meet up with Cal (Mar. 31) and Colorado (Apr. 21).
USC's relocation for this upcoming season is a part of the university and athletic department's steadfast commitment to providing a best-in-class experience and world-class facilities for USC student-athletes. After receiving a $10 million gift from The Fritz B. Burns Foundation, the Women of Troy will spend one season away before returning to their new state-of-the-art home in 2025. "We look forward to competing in our new home in 2025. Rawlinson Stadium will provide our players and fans with a first-class experience in our home stadium," Munday said. "We are thankful for Dignity Health for hosting us this season and we look forward to competing in their great facility."
USC will hit the road for nine games, including two ranked squads from 2023 in Johns Hopkins (No. 17) and Army (No. 16); the Women of Troy face one other ranked team from 2023 as Michigan (No. 12) visits L.A. County in a pre-Big Ten matchup. The 2024 season will kickoff with Army (Feb. 9) before USC takes on several non-conference road tests, including the likes of Villanova (Feb. 11), Towson (Mar. 1), Johns Hopkins (Mar. 3) and VCU (Mar. 5).
In the Women of Troy's final season in the Pac-12, USC battles with seven conference foes. The Trojans are set for home games against UC Davis, Cal, and Colorado. They will have to hit the road against Arizona St (Mar. 23), Oregon (Apr. 6) and Stanford (Apr. 13), all before they finish the regular season against another conference newcomer in San Diego St (Apr. 27).
"We are thrilled to release our 2024 Schedule. We are beyond excited to compete in the Pac 12 for the last year before we enter Big Ten play," Munday said. "We are looking forward to our out of conference opponents – all incredibly strong teams that will allow us to compete against the best as well as prepare us for Pac 12 play."
After the regular season concludes, USC will get the chance to host the Pac-12 Championship as it searches to reclaim its title from last year. The conference tournament will occur at the Coliseum from May 1 to May 4. The Women of Troy 2024 schedule will include three Pac-12 Network games, including two home bouts and one road matchup, with all other games set to be streamed on the USC Live Stream Platform. All Pac-12 tournament games will also be streamed on the Pac-12 Network.
"We are thrilled to host the Pac 12 tournament in the Coliseum," Munday said. "To send off the Pac 12 lacrosse conference in an iconic venue like the Coliseum is something we very much look forward to."
