USC’s JuJu Watkins Makes It 10 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week Picks

She led the Trojans in scoring in two tough road tests against ranked opponents.

USC's JuJu Watkins keeps stacking up awards, staying perfect with a 10-for-10 success rate on Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors. With this week's selection, Watkins has added to her conference record of such awards accumulated, as she has earned the honor in every week in which the Trojans have competed this season.

Watkins led USC in scoring for the 14th and 15th times this season during a tough Pac-12 road trip. In a loss at No. 20 Utah, Watkins scored 26 points for the Trojans and also hauled in five rebounds and nabbed three steals. Two days later in Boulder, Watkins served up a game-high 20 points for USC in a tight loss to No. 3 Colorado. She also had a game-high four steals in that one.

Watkins and the No. 11 Trojans get back to Galen Center this week to host the Washington schools, facing Washington State at 7 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 26) and then taking on Washington at 12 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 28).
