USC's Maribel Flores Named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES – After having a hand in all three goals during USC's win over New Mexico State last Thursday, Maribel Flores has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.
The Trojan forward is the first USC player to pick up the honor this season and is the first freshman to take the conference's weekly offensive award this year. She scored once and posted two assists in the 3-0 victory over the Aggies.
The one-goal, two-assist performance gave Flores eight total points (3 goals, 2 assists) on the season, good for second most on the team and tied for 11th most in the conference. Flores has scored in three of her first six collegiate games and has started every contest since arriving at USC.
The Trojans open Pac-12 play this week, heading to Utah for a Friday night conference opener.
