USC Rowing's Eden Cooper-Squires, Zoe McCutcheon Receive All-American Honorable Mentions

LOS ANGELES – USC women's rowing senior Eden Cooper-Squires (Humberside Collegiate Institute/Toronto, Canada) and Junior Zoe McCutcheon (Enniskillen Royal Grammar School/Kesh, Northern Ireland) received The Pocock Racing Shells All-America honorable mention notice on Tuesday, July 11.

Cooper-Squires coxed the Trojan's varsity eight in all 18 competitions. She guided the Trojans to a victory over UCLA, a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, and a fifth-place finish in the C Final of the NCAA Championships. This is the first Pocock Racing Shells All-American honorable mention notice Cooper-Squires has received.

McCutcheon sat stroke in Trojan's varsity eight in all 18 competitions. She led the Trojans to a victory over UCLA, a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, and a fifth-place finish in the C Final of the NCAA Championships. McCutchen was also named to the Pac-12 Women's Rowing All-Conference Team in 2023. This is McCutcheon's first Pocock Racing Shells All-American honorable mention notice.

Each year the coaches of the CRCA recognize the outstanding student athletes in each Division. General criteria for the award are that the student-athlete must meet all eligibility rules as defined by her institution, must have rowed at least 75% of the season's races in the varsity boat, must be nominated by her institution and the head coach of the student-athlete's institution must be a member in good standing of the Pocock.

The Trojans concluded the season at the NCAA Championships finishing 16th place. USC also finished in fourth place in the Pac-12.
