USC women's basketball welcomes guard McKenzie Forbes to the Trojan Family as a grad transfer for the coming 2023-24 season, USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb announced today. The California native and graduate of Harvard brings an All-Ivy League pedigree to Troy.
"Sometimes life comes full circle, and I'm excited and grateful to have the opportunity to coach Kenzie again, this time in her final year of collegiate basketball," Gottlieb said of Forbes, whom she coached as a freshman at California. "Mostly, however, I'm thrilled for what she can bring to our team in pursuit of a championship."
"Kenzie is as versatile a player as you will find," Gottlieb added. "She shoots the three, handles the ball, is a scorer and playmaker. Her IQ and versatility will give our team an added dimension. She is another grad transfer that brings tremendous value to USC both on and off the court."
As a freshman at Cal under Gottlieb, Forbes earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention and a two-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week selection.
