USC Diving Qualifies Four Additional Divers For Upcoming NCAA Championships

The third and final day of the Zone E Diving meet saw four Trojans earn bids to the upcoming NCAA Championships, with George Korovin, Robert Gref, Lina Sculti and Nike Agunbiade all receiving invites on Wednesday, March 8, in Federal Way, Wash.
For the third day in a row, Trojan senior George Korovin earned a qualifying score, this time on platform. Korovin, who was already qualified on both springboards, earned 661.40 points on Wednesday to finish second overall and punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships. This marks Korovin's fourth consecutive NCAA bid.
Freshman Robert Gref is also headed to the NCAA Championships after finishing fourth on platform with 638.20 points. With his finish today, Gref earns his first NCAA bid.
On women's 1-meter, Nike Agunbiade earned another NCAA bid, tallying 612.25 points to punch her ticket in the third and final event. Agunbiade is now triple qualified for NCAA's.
Senior Lina Sculti is also headed to the NCAA Championships after recording 597.60 points on Wednesday to finish third overall. Sculti, a springboard specialist, is now qualified on both specialties.
Troy will send a record number of men to compete at the NCAA Championships this year, with Robert Gref, Shangfei Wang, George Korovin and Laurent Gosselin-Paradis all earning bids.
