No. 10 USC Men’s Tennis to Face Top Ranked TCU, No. 3 Texas

LOS ANGELES – The No. 10 USC men's tennis team is headed to the Lonestar state this weekend for two big matchups as they'll face top ranked TCU on Friday and No. 3 Texas on Sunday. Friday the Trojans will face No. 1 TCU at 3 p.m. pacific time in Fort Worth before traveling to Austin for a Sunday 12 p.m. pacific time match against the No. 3 ranked Longhorns.
USC (10-3) has been battled tested throughout the spring, defeating heavyweights such as No. 15 Florida, No. 13 Georgia and No. 12 North Carolina while also defeating crosstown rival UCLA twice. They'll have a chance to boost their resume this weekend as they face another two top-5 ranked schools.
LAST TIME OUT:
Over the weekend USC faced Pepperdine in Tennis Paradise, playing a dual match at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in the UTR College Match Challenge: BNP Paribas Open. The Trojans defeated the Waves 4-3 as Stefan Dostanic, Bradley Frye, Wojtek Marek and Samuell Rubell each contributed a point towards the win.

TROJANS IN THE ITA RANKINGS:
USC boasts three Trojans in the national singles rankings with sophomore Peter Makk leading Troy at No. 26. Trojan senior Stefan Dostanic locked in the No. 32 ranking while Bradley Frye claimed the No. 124 spot.
USC also boasts the No. 21 ranked doubles pair in Stefan Dostanic and Bradley Frye.
SCOUTING TCU:
Top ranked TCU (15-1) was riding a 15-match win streak and captured the 2023 ITA Indoor National Championship entering this week. Against Texas on Wednesday, March 22, TCU tasted defeat for the first time as the Horned Frogs came up short in a nonconference dual 4-1 to No. 3 Texas.
In the latest rankings, TCU has four ranked singles players – No. 16 Luc Fomba, No. 21 Jake Fearnley, No. 43 Sander Jong and No. 71 Sebastian Gorzny. Two Horned Frog duo's are also ranked – No. 6 Sander Jong/Lui Maxted and No. 13 Jake Fearnley/Luc Fomba.
TCU and USC are facing off for the 13th time in their storied histories. The Trojans are making their third-ever visit to Fort Worth. TCU has claimed four of its last six matches vs. USC and is 2-0 at home in the all-time series.
SCOUTING TEXAS:
No. 3 Texas is 15-2 on the season, having most recently defeated No. 1 TCU 4-1 on Wednesday, March 22. The win marked the second time this season the Longhorns have defeated a top-ranked team after downing Ohio State when the Buckeyes were No. 1 at the ITA National Indoor Championships. __ Longhorns appeared in the most recent ITA rankings – No. 1 Eliot Spizzirri, No. 29 Siem Woldeab, No. 36 Pierre-Yves Bailly and No. 78 Micah Braswell. They also boast the No. 4 ranked duo in Cleeve Harper/Eliot Spizzirri.
