USC’s Grace Tehaney Earns First MPSF Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week Award

Redshirt senior scored five goals across two Trojan wins in Honolulu.

USC redshirt senior Grace Tehaney scored five goals across two USC victories in Honolulu last week, and has earned her first selection as MPSF Player of the Week for her efforts.

Against No. 5 host Hawai'i, Tehaney tallied two goals and added an assist in USC's 16-7 win over the Rainbow Wahine. Two days later, the lefty was 3-for-3 on the attack to record a hat trick while also nabbing two steals in a 16-7 win over San Diego State to improve USC's overall record to 19-1.

With 25 goals scored so far this season, Tehaney has climbed to rank No. 16 all-time in scoring at USC with 148 career goals. She is the third Trojan to win the MPSF's weekly award this season, following selections by Tilly Kearns and Bayley Weber.

Tehaney and the Trojans are back in Los Angeles this week, setting up to host Indiana in an MPSF clash at 12 p.m. on Saturday (March 25) at Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
