USC’s Kaitlyn Dobler, Lina Sculti Named to Swim and Dive Academic All-America First Team

AUSTIN, Texas - USC's Kaitlyn Dobler and Lina Sculti were voted to the 2022-23 College Sport Communicators Division ! Swimming and Diving Academic All-America First Team on Monday, March 20. It marks the 43rd and 44th all-time College Sport Communicators Academic All-America first-team certificates earned by USC athletes.
In February, Dobler, Sculti and Isabelle Odgers were selected to the College Sport Communicators NCAA Division I Academic All-District Team. Dobler and Sculti's selections put them in an elite group of only 15 first-team choices. USC was one of only three Pac-12 schools represented on the prestigious list, with Stanford and USC each boasting two student-athletes on the first team roster. Arizona had one first team selection in NCAA platform diving champion Delaney Schnell.
Astronautical engineering major Dobler is one of only five 2023 first team student-athletes to receive All-America honors for the second time. In addition to being a 2022 NCAA individual champion, four-time first team All-American and five-time Pac-12 individual champion, Dobler also excels in the classroom – boasting a 3.65 G.P.A.
At the just-concluded NCAA Championships, Sculti reached the championship final on both 1-meter and 3-meter, finishing sixth in both events. A two-time Pac-12 Diving Champion, seven-time first team All-American and three-time CSCAA Scholar All-American, Sculti has repeatedly been recognized for her success in the pool and the classroom. Sculti, a Stanford graduate transfer, boasted a 3.98 undergraduate G.P.A. (Science, Technology and Society) and carries a 3.69 graduate G.P.A. as a Entrepreneurship and Innovation Master's student.
