USC Diver Lina Sculti Reaches NCAA 1-Meter Final

USC diver Lina Sculti finished sixth on 1-meter to lead USC during the second day of action at the 2023 NCAA Women's Swim and Dive Championships on Thursday, March 16 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Sculti wrapped up finals with 312.90 points to finish sixth and earn All-American honors on 1-meter. The USC graduate student recorded her highest career finish on 1-meter at the championships, having previously finished 12th as a freshman. The last Trojan to earn All-American honors on 1-meter was Haley Ishimatsu in 2014.
During finals, USC's 200y freestyle relay of Anicka Delgado, Elise Garcia, Hanna Henderson and Kaitlyn Dobler combined to clock a 1:27.91 and finish 13th.
Swimming in prelims, sophomore Marlene Kahler finished 37th in the 500y freestyle, posting a 4:43.64. Competing in her first NCAA Championships, freshman Justina Kozan placed 66th in 4:50.58.
USC fifth year Isabelle Odgers had a strong showing in the 200y IM, clocking a 1:56.12 to finish 20th in prelims. Freshman Ashley McMillan was 62nd in 2:02.69.
A trio of Trojans competed in the splash and dash event, as Anicka Delgado (22.22), Hanna Henderson (22.31) and Kaitlyn Dobler (22.48) finished 22nd, 32nd and 43rd, respectively.
Senior Nike Agunbiade also competed on 1-meter, finishing 27th with 250.10 points.
Action continues tomorrow at 7 a.m. pacific time with swim prelims, followed by 3-meter diving prelims at 9 a.m. All action can be streamed on ESPN+.
