USC’s Bayley Weber Earns MPSF Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week Award

Super senior served up 12 goals in the Trojans’ run to win the Triton Invitational title.
Bayley Weber led the Trojans with 12 goals scored in USC's run to winning the Triton Invitational championship over the weekend, and for her efforts the super senior has landed the selection of MPSF Player of the Week. It's the first such pick for a Trojan this season, and it's the third career honor for Weber.
Weber scored twice in USC's 10-8 comeback victory over No. 3 UCLA in the final, assisting on the game-winning goal in overtime. Weber also tallied a hat trick in the semifinals to help USC to a 15-8 win there over No. 9 UC Irvine. She was coming off a season-high four goals scored in a 16-7 win vs. No. 13 Indiana that morning, and had opened the tournament with a three-goal effort vs. Concordia. Weber's 12 goals at the tourney moved her up to rank No. 14 all-time in scoring at USC, now with 152 career goals.
Weber and the undefeated Trojans have a week off of competition before turning to their home opener coming up next week in a 1 p.m. meeting against UC Irvine on Feb. 18 at Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
