USC's Tre White Earns Second Pac-12 Men's Basketball Freshman Of The Week Honor

USC guard Tre White was selected as the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, it was announced by the conference today (Feb. 6). It is White's second time earning the honor this season and it is the 11th time a Trojan was selected as Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the most of any school in the conference.

White led USC to a pair of home wins while averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and shooting 64.0 percent for the week. The Dallas, Texas native scored a career-high 22 points in the 80-74 win over Washington on Feb. 4. In that game, he made10 of 16 shots and had two key tip-in rebounds, finishing with eight rebounds overall. White scored USC's final eight points of the first half, as the Trojans rallied from an early seven-point deficit to take a seven-point lead at the break.

White scored 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting in the 80-70 win over Washington State on Feb. 2. White also combined to hammer home five dunks in the two games. The consistent freshman now has scored 7 or more points in 14-straight games and in 20 of 23 this season.

White has averaged 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds through 23 games, making 20 starts. He ranks second in rebounding and third in scoring among the 2022-23 Trojans. White also ranks second among Pac-12 freshman this season in both scoring and rebounding.
