USC's Kaitlyn Dobler Named October Pac-12 Women's Swimmer of the Month

LOS ANGELES - USC women's swimming senior Kaitlyn Dobler was announced on Tuesday, Nov. 7 as the October Pac-12 women's swimmer of the month. This is Dobler's first such honor.

At the season-opening SMU Classic Invitational, Dobler captured the 100y breaststroke in a pool and meet record time of 57.35, lowering her previous meet record set last year at the invite (59.09). In addition to sweeping the breaststroke events, Dobler was the lone Trojan to earn NCAA automatic bids at the meet, meeting the standard in both the 100y (57.35) and 200y breaststroke (2:05.59). Both of her times are within the top five in the country so far this season. She also appeared in both Trojan relays that finished first (200y medley and 400y medley relays), swimming the breaststroke leg in both events.

At USC's Trojan Invitational, Dobler once again emerged victorious in both breaststroke events, capturing the 100 in 59.22 and the 200 in 2:10.10. Once again she'd help USC to another pair of medley relay wins for the Women of Troy.
