USC Baseball Falls in Season Finale at No. 4 Stanford

The Trojans finish the season 25-28 overall on the year and 8-22 in Pac-12 play. Stanford moves to 37-14 overall and 21-9 in conference action, clinching the outright Pac-12 title with the win.
USC got out to a great start, getting a three-run homer from Trevor Halsema in the first inning. The advantage was short-lived, however, as Stanford scored four in the bottom half of the first, and then later scored six in the fourth to go up 10-3.
After a Stanford run in the bottom of the sixth, USC got back-to-back RBI doubles from Johnny Olmstead and Rhylan Thomas in the seventh to cut into the deficit. That was it for the USC offense, though, and the Cardinal added a run in the bottom half of the inning to make it 12-5.
