
USC Women’s Volleyball Signs Middle Blocker Leah Ford

Ford will join the Women of Troy in the fall of 2023
LOS ANGELES – The USC women's volleyball program has signed standout middle blocker Leah Ford (Keller, Texas/Keller HS) to a National Letter of Intent head coach Brad Keller announced on Thursday, Nov. 10.
"We are thrilled to welcome Leah to the Trojan Family," said Keller. "She is a long, explosive middle blocker whose talent has such a high ceiling. She is family-oriented, a great person, and a team player. She brings a valuable set of volleyball skills that we feel can be utilized immediately in our program. We are looking forward to having her arrive and contribute to our program next fall."
Ford—a 6-4 middle blocker—played for Drive Nation Volleyball Club in Dallas. She is PrepVolleyball's 41st-ranked recruit in 2023 and helped Drive Nation to a pair of first-place finishes in the 2021 Big South Qualifier and 16s Open.
Ford prepped at Keller High School where she was named District 5-6A Newcomer of the Year in 2019 and the Preseason Middle Blocker of the Year in 2022. She was chosen to the 2021 Texas 6A All-Star Team and All-State Teams and helped KHS to a second-place finish in the UIL Class 6A State Championship in 2021. Ford was also a first-team All-District 4-6A choice as a junior when was invited to the USAV National Team Development Program training series in 2021 and 2022. She is on the 2022 AVCA All-Athlete Watchlist.
The Women of Troy (18-8, 10-5 Pac-12) are third in the Pac-12 standings with just five remaining regular-season matches. USC faces California (7-17, 0-14) on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Galen Center for a 1 p.m. PT match. The Trojans and the Golden Bears will be shown live on the Pac-12 Insider streaming platform. After that, USC will play its next three contests on the road at Oregon State (Nov. 18), at Oregon (Nov. 20), and at Washington (Nov. 23) before the Women of Troy conclude the Pac-12 slate with a home meeting against crosstown rival UCLA on Friday (Nov. 25) at 8 p.m. for Senior Night.
