Walk-Off Grand Slam Sinks USC Baseball at Fresno State

The Trojans drop to 22-23 with the loss, while Fresno State improves to 17-22.
The two teams combined for 29 hits in the slugfest, with the Bulldogs scoring six runs in the final inning to pick up the win.
USC jumped out to a 5-0 lead after four runs in the second and one in the third, and was up 8-2 after three runs in the sixth. Fresno state cut it to a one-run game thanks to a pair of homers and five runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Ben Ramirez drove in two runs in the top of the ninth to make it a 10-7 game, but the Bulldogs exploded for six in the bottom half to take it. Fresno State loaded the bases with two walks and a single and then Nate Thimjon drove in a pair to pull the home team within one. After another walk, Zach Presno ended the game with a walk-off grand slam.
USC got a career-high four RBI from Nate Clow as one of five Trojans to drive in runs on the day. Seven USC players had hits in the game, including three from Rhylan Thomas. The Trojans used nine pitchers in their last non-conference game of the year.

The Trojans return to Los Angeles for their final homestand of the regular season when they host No. 25 Arizona State this weekend. All three games will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
