USC Adds 6 Talented Players To Its 2020 Recruiting Class

They join top recruit Mobley signed in November
The USC men's basketball program has added graduate transfers guard Tahj Eaddy, and forwards Chevez Goodwin and Isaiah White, as well as transfer forward Joshua Morgan and guard Drew Peterson and incoming freshman forward Boubacar Coulibaly to its 2020-21 class, it was announced by head coach Andy Enfield today (June 3). These six talented players join forward Evan Mobley, who signed with USC in November of 2019 as the No. 1-ranked recruit.
"In the last few years we have graduated some outstanding Trojans and sent five players to the NBA," said Enfield. "It was important for our program to bring in a unique and exceptional blend of players that as a group can continue the upward trajectory of our program."
Eaddy is a 6-2, 165-pound graduate transfer guard who comes to USC from Santa Clara. During the 2019-20 season for Santa Clara, he averaged 9.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, after averaging 15.0 points as a sophomore. Eaddy began his career at Southeast Missouri State and averaged 7.5 points in 30 games as a freshman during the 2016-17 season. Eaddy is from West Haven, Conn. and prepped at Notre Dame High (Conn.), Tennessee Preparatory Academy in Memphis, Tenn. and The Skill Factory in Atlanta, Ga.
Goodwin is a 6-9, 215-pound graduate transfer forward who averaged 11.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 35 starts for Wofford last season. He made 64.0 percent of his shots last season, fourth among all Division I players, and has a career 60.8 shooting percentage. Goodwin scored in double figures 22 times last season and netted a career-high 27 points at VMI on Feb. 5, 2020. He began his career at the College of Charleston in the 2016-17 season and transferred to Wofford following his freshman year. Goodwin is from Columbia, S.C. and he graduated from Hammond High in 2016. White is a 6-7, 205-pound graduate transfer forward who averaged 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds while playing in 21 games (18 starts) for Utah Valley during the 2019-20 season. He led Utah Valley in points and rebounds per game and scored a career-best 25 points vs. Westminster (Utah) on Nov. 5. White is from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and graduated from Damien High in 2016. Before Utah Valley, White played a season at Salt Lake Community College where he led the team in scoring with an 12.8 points per game average. Â
Morgan is a 6-11, 195-pound forward who transfers to USC from Long Beach State following his freshman season in which he averaged 8.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. Morgan was named the 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year in the Big West. He scored in double figures 14 times with a season-best 17 points vs. UC Riverside on Feb. 15, 2020. He had 80 blocks with a career-best eight blocks on Jan. 18, 2020 vs. CS Fullerton. Morgan is from Sacramento, Calif. and graduated from Sheldon High in 2019. Â
Peterson, a 6-8, 185-pound guard, averaged 11.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for Rice during the 2019-20 season. He made 31 starts for the Owls, leading the team in rebounds (209), assists (112) and steals (33). He was also third on the team in scoring and led the team in double-doubles (4). Peterson made 82.4 percent of his free throw attempts (75 of 91). He scored in double figures 16 times with a career-best 24 points vs. FIU on March 11. Coulibaly is a 6-10, 195-pound forward from San Gabriel, Calif. who led his San Gabriel Academy team to a 22-7 record this past season and into the second round of the CIF Southern Section 2AA playoffs. Coulibaly averaged 25 points and 14 rebounds per game. He scored 33 points and had 19 rebounds in a win over Oaks Christian during the 2019-20 season. He was a team captain and ranked as a top 25 player in California.
Mobley was signed by the Trojans on Nov. 13, 2019 as the No. 1 recruit, the first time the USC men's basketball program has ever signed the No. 1-ranked men's basketball player. Mobley, a 7-0, 210-pound forward, averaged 20.5 points, 12.2 rebounds, 5.2 blocks and 4.6 assists during his senior season at Rancho Christian. He was named the Morgan Wooten National High School Player of the Year. He was also a 2020 McDonald's All-American, is a two-time Gatorade California Player of the Year and a 2020 Naismith Player of the Year finalist. These talented newcomers join USC's returning dynamic young core of sophomores Isaiah Mobley, Max Agbonkpolo and Ethan Anderson, as well as junior Noah Baumann who redshirted last season after transferring to USC from San Jose State. The Trojans are in the midst of the winningest five-year stretch in school history which has produced 109 wins.
