Trojans Among Elite Company With 6 Prospects in Baseball America's Top 500

LOS ANGELES – Baseball America recently released its list of the Top 500 MLB Draft prospects for the upcoming 2020 draft, and six USC players were among those ranked.
The six ranked prospects is tied for fifth in the country among collegiate programs. The Trojans are one of two Pac-12 programs with at least six players ranked. No. 135 – Kyle Hurt (RHP, Jr.)
No. 325 – Ben Ramirez (SS, Jr.)
No. 343 – Clay Owens (1B, So.)
No. 357 – John Beller (LHP, Jr.)
No. 423 – Chandler Champlain (RHP, So.)
The 2020 MLB Draft is scheduled to be held June 10-12, but what this year's draft will look like due to the Covid-19 pandemic is still up in the air. Major League Baseball has yet to announce changes to the draft, but is reportedly looking to hold the event virtually and possibly shorten the number of rounds from the traditional 40. No changes have been officially announced.
