Four Women's Divers, Two Men's Qualify For NCAA Championships

Freshmen Nike Agunbiade, George Korovin earn spots on all three boards.
Six Trojan divers, including a school-record four women, have qualified for the 2020 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships out of the Zone E Championships that concluded today in Federal Way, Wash.
A pair of freshmen highlighted USC's efforts as Nike Agunbiade and George Korovin qualified on all three boards. Senior women Naomi Gowlett and Carly Souza each qualified on 1-meter and platform, respectively, and freshman Savannah Stocker made it on platform. Senior Henry Fusaro, a year after missing the postseason due to injury, earned a return NCAA trip on 1-meter and 3-meter.
Korovin was a three-time finalist, finishing second on platform (714.90), seventh on 3-meter (707.80) and 10th on 1-meter (580.65).
Fusaro won the 1-meter competition (777.50) and was third on 3-meter (790.15) to lock in his third NCAA trip. He is looking to score individually for the first time since doing so on both springboards as a 2017 freshman.
Agunbiade was second on 3-meter (339.20), fourth on platform (550.85) and ninth on 1-meter (552.25), repeating as a three-time finalist after doing the same at Pac-12s.
Souza, who claimed her third NCAA trip, was also a three-time finalist this week, finishing second on platform (578.90), 10th on 1-meter (546.25) and 13th on 3-meter (569.15). She was an individual scorer at the NCAAs last year on platform.
Gowlett was fourth on platform (288.55) and fifth on 1-meter to earn her second NCAA berth.
