USC leads the 2020 Southern California Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame (SCIVBHOF) nominations with six for the May 3, 2020 induction ceremonies at the Highway 39 Event Center in Anaheim.  The HOF is housed at American Sports Centers in Anaheim.
Coaching success is the framework of the Trojan nominees.  Ernie Hix, who made USC the power it is today in men's volleyball by leading the Trojans to its first two NCAA titles, and Chuck Erbe, who won three AIAW and one NCAA title as USC women's head coach, headline the nominees.  The other three include current USC men's head coach Jeff Nygaard and long-time college and international coach and current Trojan men's assistant Gary Sato. Both have either played or coached NCAA title teams and both have Olympic experience.
New USC women's beach coach and Olympic Beach gold medalist Dain Blanton is also a finalist. The final nominee is former Trojan AIAW champion and All-American Sue Woodstra, who had a long and successful college and international coaching career and is in the AVCA Hall of Fame.  The inductees will be announced in January.
The 2020 Southern California Indoor Volleyball Hall of Fame (SCIVBHOF) finalists are: Dain Blanton, Harlan Cohen, Terry Condon, Chuck Erbe, Dixie Grimmett, Jack Henn, Ernie Hix, Bernie Holtzman, John Hyden, Alan Knipe, Duncan McFarland, Holly McPeak, Jeff Nygaard, Bev Oden, Manny Saenz, Gary Sato, Fred Sturm, Troy Tanner, Jane Ward, Teee Williams, Sue Woodstra, and Elaine Youngs.
