Fifth-Ranked Trojans Shut Down Dons in Hawai'i

HONOLULU, Hawai'i – The No. 5 USC women's soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-0 victory over the San Francisco Dons in Hawai'i on Saturday afternoon.
The Trojans got their second straight shutout on the trip to open the year and outshot USF 19-4. USC scored on a penalty shot early in the second half and then got a late goal from Tara McKeown to seal the win.
Natalie Jacobs converted the penalty shot in the 55th minute after a foul in the box, for her first goal of the season. McKeown then scored her second goal of the year off an assist by Penelope Hocking in the 83rd.
Three of the Dons' four shots were on target, but Kaylie Collins was there for all three saves to pick up yet another clean sheet.
