USC Announces 2019-20 Men's Basketball Nonconference Schedule

New-Look Trojans to potentially face 9 teams which played in the 2018-19 postseason
USC's 2019-20 men's basketball nonconference schedule will feature nine potential games against teams which played in the NCAA or NIT tournaments, including a possible three games against conference champions and two against conference runner-ups, it was announced by head coach Andy Enfield today (June 10). Tickets will be available at usctrojans.com/tickets beginning June 25.
USC will open up the 2019-20 season with three home games at the Galen Center, first hosting Florida A&M of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Nov. 5, then Portland of the West Coast Conference on Nov. 8 and then South Dakota State on Nov. 12, the defending Summit League Champions which went 24-9 and played in the NIT.
The Trojans will play their first road game of the season at Nevada in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 16. The Wolfpack of the Mountain West Conference went 29-5 last season and played in the NCAA Tournament after being ranked in the top 10 for most of the season.
USC will return to the Galen Center to host Pepperdine of the West Coast Conference on Nov. 19 and then Temple of the American Athletic Conference on Nov. 22. Temple went 23-10 last season and played in the NCAA Tournament.
USC will then travel to the Orlando Invitational to be held Nov. 28-Dec. 1 at the HP Field House in Orlando, Fla. USC will be in a field which includes Davidson Fairfield, Harvard, Marquette, Maryland, Temple and Texas A&M. Five of those teams played in the postseason last year. The matchups have not been release as of yet, but the games will be on Nov. 28, Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.
The Trojans will face TCU for the second season in a row, this time opening the Horned Frogs' new venue - Dickies Arena - on Dec. 6. TCU of the Big 12 Conference went 23-14 last season and reached the NIT semifinals.
Following that game, USC will return to the Galen Center to host Long Beach State of the Big West Conference on Dec. 15.
USC will play LSU of the Southeastern Conference on Dec. 21 at Staples Center in the Hoophall LA game. It will be USC's fourth consecutive season playing at the Staples Center in the Hoophall LA event. LSU won the Southeastern Conference last season, finished with a 28-7 record and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.
The Trojans will close out the nonconference slate at home vs. Florida Gulf Coast of the Atlantic Sun Conference on Dec. 29. FGCU is were Enfield began his head coaching career, leading the Eagles to the Sweet 16 in 2013.
The Pac-12 conference schedule has not been released yet.
