USC Women's Tennis Welcomes Payton Saca

LOS ANGELES--The USC women's tennis team welcomes the addition of one more tennis player, head coach Alison Swain announced today (May 8). Payton Saca will officially join the Women of Troy in the fall of 2019.

"Payton is an incredibly hard worker, passionate about her own tennis and also excited about being a part of a close-knit team environment," said Swain. "We are thrilled to have Payton joining our Trojan Family."

Saca hails from Sacramento, Calif., but moved to Bradenton, Fla. her sophomore year of high school to attend the IMG Academy where she could train in tennis full-time.

Saca has been ranked as high as the No. 80 junior tennis player nationally, as well as holding a high ITF junior ranking of No. 860 in the world.

Saca has many notable tennis accomplishments including winning a Grade 4 ITF Doubles Title, placing second in a Grade 4 ITF Doubles tournament, earning a place in the semifinals of a Grade 4 Singles tournament and winning numerous titles in Northern California.

In addition to tennis, Saca was also a competitive mogul skier and competed in the Junior Olympics and Junior National Championships.

In fall 2019, Saca will join Carson Branstine and Eryn Cayetano, who both signed in March, ready to contribute to USC women's tennis.Â
