Rakocevic Named To the Wooden Award Watch List

Trojan senior among early front-runners for Wooden All-American Team & Outstanding Player Award
USC senior forward Nick Rakocevic is one of 50 athletes named to the preseason 2020 John R. Wooden Watch List, it was announced today (Nov. 5). The 50 student-athletes on the watch list are early front-runners for the Wooden Award All-American Team and the Most Outstanding Player Award, as voted upon in a preseason poll of national college basketball experts.
Rakocevic enters his senior season ranked 15th on USC's all-time rebound list with 665 career rebounds and is 35 points away from 1,000 career points scored. Last season, he averaged 14.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in 33 games. He posted 15 double-doubles which ranked second among Pac-12 players and 23rd nationally. He ranked in the Pac-12's top 10 in six categories: scoring average (10th), rebounds (3rd, 308), field goal percentage (8th, 54.8 percent), blocked shots (5th, 47), offensive rebounds (1st, 109) and defensive rebounds (3rd, 199). Rakocevic was named honorable mention on the 2019 Pac-12 All-Conference team and is on the 2020 preseason first team All-Conference list.
Rakocevic and the Trojans begin their 2019-20 season tonight by hosting Florida A&M at the Galen Center. The game tips at 8:00 p.m. and will air on the Pac-12 Network.
