TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 5 USC women's soccer team notched a shutout on the road and got the game-winning goal from Tara McKeown in the first half to take down Arizona 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The win moves the Trojans to 9-1-1 overall and 2-1-0 in Pac-12 play, while Arizona falls to 7-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in conference action.

McKeown's ninth goal of the year came in the 37th minute when she ran onto a long ball from Kaylin Martin and beat the keeper deep in the box.

The Trojan defense did the rest, limiting the quality chances for the home team Wildcats and making sure goalkeeper Anna Smith was never really tested on the four saves she made.

37' – USC: Tara McKeown (assisted by Kaylin Martin) – Martin played a long ball forward that McKeown ran down in the box and finished with a shot into the upper left corner.

NOTABLE

The victory makes it a clean sweep on the Arizona road trip for USC, after the Trojans beat Arizona State 2-1 earlier this week.
Kaylin Martin's first career assist came after she scored the game-winner against ASU for her first career goal earlier this week.
It was the fifth shutout of the season for USC and the first time this year that Arizona had been shut out at home.
