No. 15 USC Men's Volleyball Hosts Princeton, Then Has Rematch With No. 4 UC Irvine On Road

THE FACTS
The No. 15-ranked USC men's volleyball team (5-3 overall, 0-0 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), which last week beat the nation's No. 3 team and took the first set of 2019 off of the No. 1 squad, continues non-conference play when it hosts Princeton (1-5, 0-0 EIVA) of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association on Thursday (Jan. 31) at 7 p.m. PT in the Galen Center and then travels to No. 4 UC Irvine (8-2, 0-0 Big West) on Saturday (Feb. 2) for a 7 p.m. PT contest in the Bren Events Center that will be a rematch of last week's Trojan home victory.

RANKINGS
USC is ranked 15th in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll. Princeton is not ranked, while UC Irvine is No. 4.
OPPONENTS
USC beat Princeton in 4 sets at home last season in the teams' only meeting to date. The Tigers play at UC San Diego on Tuesday (Jan. 29) before visiting USC. Troy leads its series with UC Irvine, 40-32, including a 3-1 home victory last week. The Anteaters face Charleston and Grand Canyon, both on Friday (Feb. 1) in Phoenix, before hosting USC.
50TH SEASON
The 2019 season is the 50th of USC men's volleyball. Since 1970, the Trojan program has been among the finest in college: winning 4 NCAA championships, playing in 14 NCAA Final Fours and producing 20 Olympians, 34 All-American first teamers and 7 College Players of the Year.
