Justin Suh Named Ben Hogan Award Semifinalist

Trojan junior also No. 3 on Haskins Award Watch List
Trojan junior Justin Suh has been named one of 10 semifinalists for the 2018 Ben Hogan Award and comes in at No. 3 on the latest Haskins Award list as both Player of the Year honors released updates Thursday (April 12).
Suh, a four-time winner this year among eight top 9 finishes and a stroke average of 68.69, which is under the school record, joins nine other top 30 collegiate golfers as Ben Hogan Award semifinalists. The group will be whittled to three finalists on May 2.
The other semifinalists are UNLV senior Shintaro Ban, junior Zach Bauchou of Oklahoma State, Texas senior Doug Ghim, sophomore Viktor Hovland of Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt senior Theo Humphrey, junior Collin Morikawa of California, Texas Tech senior Fredrik Nilehn, Ole Miss junior Braden Thornberry and sophomore Norman Xiong of Oregon.
Suh, ranked No. 2 in the country by Golfweek.com and whose 17 rounds in the 60s this year are the most at USC since 2007, is also firmly entrenched near the top of the Haskin Award list as well behind only just Xiong and Morikawa.
The junior is next in action April 23-25 in the USC-hosted Pac-12 Championships at the Rolling Hills C.C.
