Trojan Greats Set For FINA World Championships

Coach Salo to guide American men's squad.
USC Coach Dave Salo will serve as the American men's head coach and will be joined by a host of former Trojan greats – All-Americans, Olympians and NCAA champions including Katinka Hosszu, Haley Anderson and Vladimir Morozov – as they represent their respective countries beginning Tuesday morning in Hangzhou, China (Monday afternoon local time) at the 2018 FINA World Championships (25m).
This is Salo's fourth head coaching assignment for the U.S. at a World Championships and the first since leading the women in 2015.
Olympic champion Hosszu (100-200-400 IM, 50-100 back, 200 back, 100-200 fly) will represent her native Hungary, Morozov (50-100 free), will swim for Russia while Anderson (400-800 free) joins Kendyl Stewart (50-100 fly) as part of the American team. Other former Trojan swimmers racing will be Cristian Quintero (Venezuela, 50-100-200 free), Dylan Carter (Trinidad and Tobago, 50-100-200 free, 50 back, 50 fly), Santo Condorelli (Italy, relays), Robert Glinta (Hungary, 50-100 back) and Anika Apostalon (Czech Republic, 50-100 free). Incoming freshman Aela Janvier is competing for Canada (200 back, 200 IM)
