Date Change For USC Lacrosse Home Opener with Boston College

The Women of Troy will host a rematch of their 2017 NCAA quarterfinal with the Eagles on Wednesday, March 7, at McAlister Field
LOS ANGELES – The date of the USC lacrosse home opener against Boston College has been moved to Wednesday, March 7, head coach Lindsey Munday announced today (Jan. 30). The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, will maintain its start time of 3 p.m. PT and will still be played at McAlister Field.
The USC-BC game is a rematch of one of four 2017 NCAA quarterfinal matches. The Trojans had their postseason run ended by the Eagles on May 20 in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Before the Eagles visit McAlister Field, USC will play have played four games away from home. The Trojans open the 2018 campaign on the road at Virginia Tech on February 10 in Blacksburg, Va. USC's second game takes place at LeBard Stadium in Costa Mesa, Calif., as part of the Orange County Lacrosse Showcase. The Women of Troy take on No. 2-ranked Stony Brook (Feb. 16) there and then return to the road for games at No. 15 Notre Dame (Feb. 23) and at No. 11 Northwestern (Feb. 25).
In 2017, the Trojans went 18-4 and advance to the program's second-consecutive NCAA quarterfinal game. The Trojans went 8-0 in the MPSF's final season and won the second of back-to-back regular-season and tournament titles.
USC's postseason run was its third straight bid into the NCAA tournament. The Trojans were led by first-team All-American and two-time MPSF Player of the Year Michaela Michael who finished as the program's all-time leader for goals (234), points (305), and draw controls (422). Senior defender Lydia Sutton was named a third-team IWLCA All-American and Kerrigan Miller was chosen as the MPSF's Rookie of the Year. Head coach Lindsey Munday earned her 69th-career victory and guided the program to its highest ranking (No. 3) and second-longest winning streak in school history (12).
