Maddison McKibbin Wins AVP San Francisco Open

The former USC men's volleyball player recorded his best AVP Tour finish on Sunday (July 9).
On Sunday (July 9), former USC men's volleyball player Maddison McKibbin and partner Ty Loomis were the title winners of the AVP San Francisco Open. This was the first team championship for the duo as well as a career-first championship for McKibbin.
Loomis/McKibbin forged their path to the championship with two strong opening wins. They then faced top-ranked Billy Allen and Stafford Slick in the quarterfinal, where they lost 23-21, 21-13. Loomis/McKibbin were able to regroup as they solidified a victory over Ratledge/Zaun in the semifinal match 21-11, 21-16. In the championship match, the pair faced off again against Allen/Slick where they were victorious as they claimed the title with a score of 24-22, 21-19.
This was a career-best finish for McKibbin on the AVP Tour as his previous best was fifth place at the 2017 Austin Open with partner Reid Priddy.
