Two Trojans Win Gold With Team USA

USC women's water polo had two representatives on the U.S. Women's National Team roster for the Kunshan Cup in China. Fresh off her senior season at Troy, two-meter player Brigitta Games was named to the roster for the international trip, where she was joined by a USC newcomer in Paige Hauschild, who has signed on to join the Trojans as a freshman next season.
It was the first roster appearance for Games on the U.S. Senior National Team, while Hauschild gathered her first Senior Team experience less than a month earlier. The Santa Barbara product was a member of Team USA's FINA Intercontinental Tournament team that earned the silver medal at the event in early May.
Out in Kunshan, China, from May 26-June 3, the United States beat the Netherlands, China and Russia in group play out of the gates before topping Japan to earn a place in the semifinals, There, Team USA generated a 17-3 win over Russia to move into the final against Greece. It would go down to a shootout to decide the champion in China, with the USA making a winning move in the shootout to claim the gold medal at the Kunshan Cup.
