Pollard 2nd On 1-Meter At Pac-12 Championships

Senior diver Collin Pollard turned in a career-best effort during the second day of the Pac-12 Men's Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash., finishing a close-second on 1-meter springboard on Thursday (Feb. 25).
Pollard continued his streak of reaching the A final of all of Pac-12 events, reaching his 11th in a row and this was the best yet.
The senior, whose previous high finish on the board was fourth last year, took second with 402.15, 3.45 points back of Stanford winner Bradley Christensen (405.60).
Pollard turned in a strong final dive worth 75.95 points, his high of the six-dive set, but Christensen proved up to the task and totaled 76.50 to finish first. The second-place finish was his best Pac-12 effort on any board. He was third on platform last year.
Sophomore Dashiell Enos, the 3-meter champion Wednesday, just missed an A final appearance and took ninth on1-meter with 308.40 while senior Deon Reid was 10th (287.55).
