MATCH NOTES
- USC won the 105th meeting between the two schools and improved to 56-49 all-time. The Trojans also improved to 21-22 as the visitor in the storied rivalry (9-6 in Westwood under head coach Mick Haley).
- The Women of Troy are 13-0 to start a season for the fifth time under Haley and for the first time since 2012.
- USC improved to 31-9 in conference openers and are now 13-5 when it opens conference play on the road. The Trojans improved to 11-4 in conference openers under Haley.
- When USC has opened conference play against rival UCLA, the Trojans improved to 7-2 all-time.
- The Trojans never trailed the Bruins in the entire match, and were only tied twice; once in the first set and once in the second set.
- With 11 kills, freshman OH Alyse Ford had her fourth straight match in double digits for kills; her sixth this season.
- UCLA's .056 hitting percentage was the second lowest by a USC opponent this season. The Trojans held Utah State to .038 and Northern Iowa had the previous second-lowest mark at .077.
- The Trojans held Jordan Anderson (ranked second in the Pac-12 in kills entering the match) to just seven kills on 26 swings and a .077 hitting rate.
