MATCH NOTES
- USC snapped a five-match losing streak to the Huskies and improved to 39-24 all-time against Washington. The last time the Trojans defeated UW, USC won a five-set match in 2012 at Galen Center.
- The win handed Washington its first loss of the season, snapped a 13-match winning streak by UW, and made USC one of just three remaining undefeated teams in the country (Arizona State, Kansas).
- The Trojans' 16th victory at the halfway mark of the season equals the team's total wins in 2014 (16-16 overall).
- At 16-0, the Women of Troy need one more win to match the 17-0 start by the 2006 squad. USC has started a season 16-0 or better four times under head coach Mick Haley.
- The Trojans finished with 11.0 blocks and reached the 10-block mark for the sixth straight match; the eighth time this season.
- Washington came into the match as the Pac-12 leader in hitting percentage (.348) but was held to .143 by the Trojans (54k, 28e, 182att).
- Senior OH Samantha Bricio finished with 27 kills (tied a season high) and 16 digs to log her sixth double-double of the season and the 47th of her career.
- Bricio served three aces against the Huskies to mark the 35th time in her career that she has had three or more aces in a single match.
- With 27 kills, Bricio moved ahead of Tracy Clark (1982-85; 1,680 kills) for fourth all-time at USC in career kills and now has 1,695 in her career (now 30th in Pac-12 history). She needs five to become just the third Trojan ever to reach the 1,700-kill mark.
- Senior MB Alicia Ogoms tied career marks with 12 kills and 16.0 points and led the team with six blocks.
- Freshman OH Alyse Ford had her seventh straight match in double digits for kills (10); her ninth this season.
- Freshman setter Baylee Johnson produced her fifth double-double of the season and finished with 22 assists and 11 digs.
- Freshman defensive specialist Victoria Garrick set a new career high with 20 digs to lead all players against UW.
