Lendrum Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 team

USC junior swimmer Alex Lendrum, a 2012 All-American and a 2012 Pac-12 All-Academic first teamer, was named to CoSIDA's Capital One Academic All-District 8 at-large team on Friday (May 18).
Lendrum boasts a 3.70 GPA in biological and biomedical sciences. He earned his first career NCAA All-American first team honor as a finalist in the 200y back, helping USC to seventh place at the 2012 NCAA Championships. He also scored in the 200y IM and swam on USC's 400y medley relay.
At the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, Lendrum, a team captain who is USC's second fastest swimmer ever in both backstroke distances, was a career-best fourth in the 200y back and was seventh in the 100y back and 10th in the 200y IM.
USC senior tennis player Daniel Nguyen was also part of the CoSIDA's 10-person Capital One Academic All-District 8 squad.
