Three Trojan Divers Qualify For NCAA Championships

USC juniors Victoria Ishimatsu and Harrison Jones and senior Steven Starks have all qualified for the 2011 NCAA Championships after the second of three days of the Zone E Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota on Friday (March 11).
For the second year in a row, Ishimatsu has swept the springboard events. She won the 1-meter springboard Friday with 643.30 points, more than 30 points ahead of the next closest finisher. On Thursday, she claimed the 3-meter with 631.95 points, edging ASU's Elina Eggers (631.10).
Jones finished second on the 1-meter (758.95) on Thursday and was fourth on 3-meter on Friday (761.05).
Starks earned his fourth straight trip to NCAAs after claiming fourth on 1-meter (712.70) and third on 3-meter (761.65).
Action wraps Saturday (March 12) with platform.
