Jones Wins Bronze At Diving Nationals

USC juniors Harrison Jones (third) and Victoria Ishimatsu (fifth) were both 1-meter springboard finalists at the 2011 U.S. Winter National Diving Championships on Wednesday (Feb. 2) in Iowa City, Iowa.
Jones, who qualified for both springboard events in preliminary action, earned a bronze medal with 407.25 points. Brandon Watson was first (443.20) and Aaron Fleshner was second (442.95).
Ishimatsu, who prequalified on both springboards, was fifth on 1-meter with 273.90 points. Kelci Bryant was first (283.90), followed by Loren Figueroa (281.40), Meili Carpenter (281.05), Maren Taylor (274.35) and Ishimatsu.
