Jones, Starks Finish Strong On Pac-10 Platform

Junior Harrison Jones finished second and senior Steven Starks was fourth on platform on the final day of the Pac-10 Men's and Women's Diving Championships, being held concurrently with the Pac-10 Women's Swimming Championships, on Friday (Feb. 25) at the Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
Jones, who won the 1-meter springboard on Wednesday and was third 3-meter, was second on platform with 409.00 points. ASU's Riley McCormick was first (440.70) with Stanford's Brent Eichenseer third (374.85) and Starks fourth (362.85).
Jones' second-place duplicated his effort last year. For Starks, he finishes his Pac-10 Championships career with having posted 11 top 8 finishes in 12 events. His fourth-place on platform was his second-best effort on any board at the Pac-10s (he was second on platform as a freshman).
