
USC Incoming Swimmers Huge At U.S. Nationals

Incoming freshman Jasmine Tosky was second in the 200m fly and made two other final appearances while fellow incoming Trojans Kendyl Stewart, Andrea Kropp and Nikki Chang also posted strong efforts at the recently completed 2011 U.S. Winter Nationals in Atlanta, Dec. 1-3.
Tosky swam a 2:09.74 for second in the 200m fly, less than a second behind first-place Kathleen Hersey. She was also fifth in the 100m fly (59.43) and seventh in the 200m IM (2:17.30). Additionally, she was a `B' finalist in the 100m, 200m and 400m free.
Stewart swam with Tosky in the 100m fly final, finishing seventh (59.52). She was also fifth in the `B' final of the 200m fly, won the `C' final of the 200m back, was second in the `C' final of the 100m back and swam in the 200m IM and the 400m free.

Kropp took sixth in both the 400m IM (4:47.69) and 200m breast (2:27.27), was second in the `B' final of the 100m breast, fifth in the `B' final of the 200m IM and swam in the 200m fly.
Nikki Chang was 26th in the 800m free and also competed in the 200m and 400m free.
Former Trojan great Rebecca Soni, the top breaststroker in the world, won both the 100m and 200m breast during three three-day meet.
