USC Receives No. 7 Seed For 2011 NCAA Tournament

LOS ANGELES - The USC women's volleyball team, ranked No. 1 in the latest AVCA national poll, received the No. 7 seed in the 2011 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament. USC will host first and second round action next weekend at the Galen Center.
The Pac-12 Conference champion Women of Troy (25-4) will face the champions of the Ivy League, Yale (18-6), on Friday (December 2) at 7 p.m. The other first-round match at 5 p.m. on Friday will feature Tulsa (27-6), the Conference USA champions, against Oklahoma (21-11). The Sooners finished the season in fifth place in the Big 12 Conference.
The winners of each match will play the second-round match on Saturday (December 3) at 7 p.m. Saturday's winner will advance to the Honolulu Regional.
All three matches next weekend will be broadcast live through a free video webcast on usctrojans.com.
