LOS ANGELES -- The USC women's volleyball team has been ranked No. 1 in the nation in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches' Association) poll released today. It's the first time that USC has been ranked No. 1 in the nation since the 2004 season. USC received 41 of the possible 60 first-place votes.

USC is 22-4 overall and currently in first place in the Pac-12 Conference with a 17-2 mark. The Women of Troy needs to win two of their final three conference matches to secure a share of the title, the first since 2003.

USC hosts Arizona State on Friday (November 18) and Arizona on Saturday (November 19) with a 7 p.m. start for both matches. All fans will be admitted for free on Saturday for the USC-Arizona match. Saturday's match will be the final regular season match for three USC seniors (Alex Jupiter, Kendall Bateman and Lauren Williams), as well as being broadcast by FOX Sports Net.
