USC Men Set Up For Semis At Sherwood

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF. - The No. 2 USC men's tennis team has three representatives in singles semifinals and a pair of doubles teams also set for semis tomorrow at the Sherwood Collegiate Cup. USC is guaranteed to have at least one finalist in Monday's championship bouts, as it's an all-Trojan singles semi between Steve Johnson and Ray Sarmiento tomorrow.
Johnson and Sarmiento will play at 11:30 a.m. for the right to possibly line up against teammate Daniel Nguyen in the title match. Nguyen is up against Roberto Maytin of Baylor in the other semifinal tomorrow. In doubles, Johnson and Sarmiento will go on to join forces on the same side of the net for a doubles semifinal bout against Segoso/Tabatruong of UCLA. Meanwhile, Jaak Poldma and JT Sundling will battle it out in the opposite semi against another UCLA pair, Inbar/Puget.
