Hosszu Wins Three Golds At European Championships

Junior Katinka Hosszu maintained her standing as one of the top swimmers in the world with two gold medals and one silver medal at the recently completed 2010 European Short Course Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Competing in her home country, Hosszu won titles in the 200m fly and the 200m IM and claimed her silver in the 400m IM.
She swam a 2:06.71 to win the 200m fly, edging compatriot Jakabos Zsuzsanna, who was second in 2:06.07. Hosszu was fourth heading into the final 50 meters.
She was third after 150 meters of the 200m IM and again rallied, winning in 2:10.09, a hair ahead of Hungarian teammate Evelyn Verraszto (2:10.10).
Hosszu, who also won gold as part of Hungary's 4x200m relay team, took second in the 400m IM in 4:36.43 behind first-place Hannah Miley (4:33.09) of Great Britain.
