USC All-American juniors Ivana Filipovic and Anna Wierzbowska as well as junior Iskra Angelova and senior Helen Tinkus will all compete in The World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Brest, Belarus, today through Sunday (July 22-25).
The four Trojan rowers are among 880 athletes from 57 countries participating in this year's event.
Filipovic (Serbia) and Angelova (Bulgaria) are competing in the single scull event, Wierzbowska (Poland) is in the quadruple scull while Tinkus (Estonia) is racing in the double scull.
Filipovic and Wierzbowska earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association 2010 Pocock All-American second team honors in 2010, helping the USC women's rowing team to an eighth place at the 2010 NCAA Championships, the Trojans' second-best finish in school history.
