USC Opener To Air On KGIL 1260 AM

As in past seasons several USC men's basketball games will air on sister stations of Trojan flagships station 710 ESPN Radio due to scheduling conflicts, beginning with the season opener on Saturday, Nov. 13 vs. UC Irvine which will air live on KGIL 1260 AM.
The broadcast of the USC-UC Irvine game at 1 p.m. will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a half-hour pregame show on 1260 AM. USC's next broadcast switch will be on Nov. 20 vs. Bradley in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off from Springfield, Mass. That game begins at 2 p.m. with a 1:30 p.m. pregame and will be carried live on KLAA 830 AM.
The Trojans will be debuting a new radio broadcast team for the 2010-11 season, as play-by-play announcer Chris Fisher joins longtime color commentator Jim Hefner in calling USC men's basketball. Fisher, a USC graduate, has spent the past three years broadcasting minor league baseball and also has called sporting events on USC's website and campus radio station. Hefner will be in his 14th season as a basketball analyst on the USC broadcasts.
Several other games will also be aired on 710 ESPN Radio sister stations during the season, which will be announced later this month.
Also, USC has installed a Live Sports Radio Transmitter at the Galen Center which beginning with the opener vs. UC Irvine will allow fans to hear the live USC broadcast with no delay inside the arena for the first time.
