After powering in seven goals in two games for the Trojans, USC junior Kami Craig has earned her first career honor as an MPSF Player of the Week.
The two-meter standout led the Women of Troy in scoring in back-to-back USC victories over the weekend, first putting in two goals against Long Beach State and then exploding for a career-high five goals in an MPSF victory over San Jose State. Craig scored the first goal of the game and got her second in the third period during a USC scoring run. Craig then worked her way out to a career-high outing with three straight goals to end the game with five and get USC to a 13-6 win over visiting San Jose State.
With the seven-goal weekend, Craig moves up to stand as USC's third leading scorer with 22 so far. She is the third Trojan to be named MPSF Player of the Week this season. Now 13-1 overall and 2-0 in MPSF play, USC next hosts Arizona State in another MPSF contest at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday (March 14) at McDonald's Swim Stadium.
