USC head coach Mick Haley post-match quotes
"We could not get in rhythm tonight as a team. We just didn't play well at the start. I thought we fought in the second set and had a chance to win that set, but we hit into blocks which hurt us. We utilized the players as efficiently as we could have."
"We have to come in and compete. We need to win a set tomorrow and put Washington on its heels. We have to come and play with a purpose."
