Women's Crew to Test Speed in San Diego

After a productive fall and winter of training and practice, the Women of Troy will get a chance to see just how fast they are as they take the water for a scrimmage against the San Diego State Aztec and University of San Diego Torero crews on Sat. Feb. 24 in Mission Bay, Calif.
The Trojans' Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four and Novice Eight will each compete in heats with one corresponding SDSU and USD boat. The four varsity boats will race in three separate sessions of 1500 meter and 2000 meter competitions. The Novice Eight will race two times on the day.
Boatings, lineups and racing schedules will be determined on the morning of the races. Boats will launch at 5:30AM. The first race will take place at 6:00AM from the University of San Diego boathouse in Mission Bay, Calif.
