Fink, Niculescu and Sanchez Selected As USC's Wells Fargo Student-Athletes Of The Week

Amanda Fink, Gabriela Niculescu and Mark Sanchez were selected today (Oct. 22) as the USC Wells Fargo Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 15-21.
The junior Fink and sophomore Niculescu won the ITA West Region Women's Doubles Championship with a 9-7 win vs. Arizona State's Nadia and Laila Abdala on Oct. 21. En route to the championships, the No. 6 seed Fink and Niculescu defeated the No. 2 seed UNLV doubles team 8-4 in the semi-finals.
The redshirt sophomore Sanchez, in his second career start, directed USC to a 38-0 victory at Notre Dame. It was USC's most decisive win ever in the 70-game series and first shutout at Notre Dame since 1933. Sanchez was 21-for-38 for 235 yards and threw four touchdown passes.
