USC Student-Athletes Set New Academic Marks in Fall 2025

LOS ANGELES — USC Athletics enjoyed another record-setting academic performance in Fall 2025, posting a department-best cumulative GPA of 3.247 and a semester GPA of 3.270, marking another milestone in the classroom for Trojan student-athletes.
Excellence was widespread across the department, as every USC team finished the fall term with a GPA above 3.0. In total, 418 student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including 176 Dean's List honorees and 23 Trojans who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.
"I'm incredibly proud of how our student-athletes continue to raise the bar academically," said Director of Athletics Jennifer Cohen. "These results reflect our department and university's commitment to excellence – from the discipline and drive of our student-athletes and the leadership of our coaches to the tireless support of our Student-Athlete Academic Services team and campus partners. USC is a place where student-athletes are empowered to succeed at the highest level in everything they do, and that foundation prepares them for lasting success well beyond their time at USC."
All 12 women's programs and all nine men's programs surpassed the 3.0 mark for the semester. Women's Cross Country led all women's teams with a 3.589 term GPA, while Men's Water Polo posted the highest GPA among men's programs at 3.313. Fourteen teams recorded a perfect academic showing, with every rostered student-athlete earning a GPA above 3.0.
Several programs reached new academic benchmarks during the fall. Eight teams set new cumulative GPA records, including Men's Basketball, Men's Swimming & Diving, Football, Men's Water Polo, Women's Basketball, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer and Women's Water Polo. Four additional teams — Men's Water Polo, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer and Women's Volleyball — also established new term GPA records.
These achievements build on USC Athletics' continued academic excellence at the national level. The Trojans recently maintained a record-setting 94 percent Graduation Success Rate, with 14 programs earning perfect scores, underscoring USC's commitment to developing student-athletes who excel both academically and competitively.
